Before having any cosmetic treatments, you must visit a dental hygienist to ensure that you have sound oral health.
This includes checking for gum disease, tooth decay or exposed tooth roots.
One thing that many people don’t realise that they have is gum disease and if not treated in time, can develop into periodontitis, which can cause permanent damage to your teeth and gums.
If you do have gum disease, we recommend seeking treatment as soon as possible and having a thorough examination. See more information.

How Does Invisalign Work?
Working with aligners for about 2 weeks, these are placed in your mouth and only removed when eating, drinking or carrying out dental hygiene such as flossing.
Your teeth will start to slowly move over the coming weeks until they get to the final stage and you are happy with the results as advised by your orthodontist or dentist.
Regular trips to the dentist will be needed initially (around once every 6 weeks). This is just to check everything is going to plan and your smile stays perfect.
It normally takes between 9-15 months for your treatment to be complete and it is common to wear between 18-30 aligners depending on the individual.
Teeth whitening treatments also work well with Invisalign, giving you the perfect smile. Find out more.
